MEET THE DOCTOR

DR. LEAH EDWARDS (EFIRD)

Hi, I’m Dr. Leah! I am the owner and dentist at Efird Family Dental. Some of you may be thinking about another Dr. Efird in Malvern. That is my uncle who has retired! He and my sister, Kristin English (dental hygienist) introduced me to the profession and I fell in love. 

I graduated Malvern High School in 2012, completed a bachelor’s degree in Biology with a minor in Chemistry at Henderson State University and then went on to dental school at the University of Tennessee for Health Sciences. After dental school, instead of going straight into the field, I completed a one year general practice residency at the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences where I received the award of “Outstanding Resident.” I am a member of the Arkansas Dental Association, American Dental Association, American Academy of Facial Esthetics and Academy of General Dentistry. 

When I am not being a dentist and business owner, I love to spend time with my daughter, Anniston and husband, Anthony. We love to go on adventures and parenthood has been the most recent adventure with the addition of Anniston in July 2023! We also have a goldendoodle, Memphis who has been my sidekick since dental school. 

My goal as a dentist and practice owner is to provide a dental experience that cultivates lifelong relationships with you, your children, and family built on trust, quality of treatment, and compassionate care.
